Besides being the national top-scorer for the 2011 GCE A-Levels with grades of A for all 9 subjects (13 academic units) taken, I was awarded the Young Defence Scientists Programme (YDSP) Award for Physics in 2011 and the Silver Award in the 22nd Singapore Chemistry Olympiad in 2010. In addition, I was chosen to represent the school in the Singapore Physics Olympiad 2010, and I also attained Distinction for MOE H3 Physics (Essentials of Modern Physics).
At NUS, I was awarded the Jurong Shipyard Book Prize in Academic Year 2014/15 for being one of the two best students in Physics in the Science I Examination for the degree of Bachelor of Science. In addition, I was awarded the Ministry of Trade and Industry (Economist Service) Prize in Academic Year 2015/16 for achieving the best CAP in Economics. I was also placed on Dean's List for Economics for 4 semesters: AY2015/16 Sem 2, AY2016/17 Sem 1, AY2016/17 Sem 2, and AY2018/19 Sem 1. Furthermore, I was the tutor for the NUS Economics module EC2101 Microeconomic Analysis I for AY2018/19 Sem 1, and I was awarded the Undergraduate Student Teaching Excellence Award for excellent teaching performance.
I have taught 11 students for 7 years, and subjects taught include H2 Physics, H1 Physics, H2 Math, H1 Math, and H2 Economics. Students have made improvement, with most students attaining grades of A or B in their A Levels for the subjects taught.
