I have 5 years+ of teaching experience, teaching students from various backgrounds (ACS International, UWCSEA, Nexus, St. Joseph's International, OFS, RJC, SRJC, private Korean and Chinese students and so on). I have focused on teaching JC and IB level Economics as economics is a subject that I care greatly about. I also have academic publishing experience - my undergraduate thesis was recently published in Social Indicators Research: http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11205-016-1422-2.
I care about my student's grades, but most importantly, their development as a person so I always try to relate classroom theories with real-world events. In terms of relevant teaching experience, I have volunteering stints in Thailand and China apart from enjoying classroom experience. Having studied in Tsinghua University, Tianjin University and Yonsei University before, I am a global-minded individual who likes to trade stories with people. I am the recipient of Yonsei President's Scholarship, the Ng Bok Eng Award as well as an award to attend Warwick Economics Summit; apart from representing at Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations as well as World Model United Nations. I have also developed tech education curriculums that had been taught in Hwa Chong International School, Teck Whye Secondary School and Henry Park Primary School.
