Hello, I am Chloe Lo, current undergraduate at the National University of Singapore.
For English, I have been tutoring secondary school students since 2012. Over the course of two years, I have taught 5 students. I keep my numbers small because I was also juggling a full-time internship at Singapore Press Holdings for a better half of the year, and shortly after university term began. As for Music, I have been the Student Conductor of my secondary school, junior college and university choir. This translates to about 8 years of musical teaching. I am more comfortable with teaching basic piano and voice.
My teaching philosophy is mainly this: Passion and commitment. For starters, I always aim to inspire trust in my students. They can rely on me and that gives both them and their parents a peace of mind. I am confident in teaching and I make it a point to allow my students flexibility in learning, often coming up with new, tailored ways for them to improve. It is my responsibility to ensure that they are 100% aware of the content and requisite skills. I aim to make learning fun in a creative environment - it's deeply essential!
I am currently on the NUS Undergraduate Scholarship. I have performed in international choral competitions (the most recent being the World Choir Games at Riga, Latvia this year) and acappella gigs at the Esplanade, NUS and so on. Recently, my acappella group emerged as national champions at Acachamps held at ITE College Central.
