I am an undergraduate student currently studying in NUS. After I received my IB results, I was an intern teacher at STB-ACS (International) Jakarta. My main role was to give extra classes to 10 weaker students in HL Mathematics. Additionally, I was also tasked to conduct preliminary classes to prepare 10 students who did not have background in Chemistry as they entered the school in Grade 10. My teaching experience there was quite fulfilling as I was able to interact with many students. For my chemistry class, I had around 10 students and I tried to make the class as interactive as possible, engaging them in games and discussion to enhance their learning. I often volunteered to give tuition during my time in secondary school and IB. As it was a one-to-one tuition, I tried to be very interactive with them so that they will be able to enjoy the lesson. I always try to make the lesson more fun, to motivate them in their learning process. As a student, I was awarded various academic awards. Some of them included subject awards in Geography and Chemistry. I was also ranked in the top 10 of my cohort . At the end of 2011, I was selected to be in the Dean's List for two subjects, Mathematics and Chemistry. I also have taken several private tutor assignments. I aim to impart my knowledge and experience to my future students so they can enjoy learning as much as I do.
