Hello! I am currently waiting to start university but am still deciding between studying law at NUS or LSE. I tutored students from lower-income families on a voluntary basis for 2 years during JC as a volunteer with Beyond Social Services and the Straits Times education program. There I helped students from primary to secondary school mostly with Math and English. I think I'm pretty good at clarifying doubts and helping you understand what you're doing and learning. I'd say I'd be able to help you best if you're a motivated student who wants to learn more.
I was from the IP program so I didnt take O levels. But, in JC, I was on my school's deans list for Biology, Chemistry, Economics and GP (:
I'm currently teaching two students: a Pri 3 student English, Math and Science and a Sec 3 student Math.
In terms of teaching, I do have some notes for Bio and GP from my school during my time in JC. I do understand however that the syllabus for Biology has very recently been tweaked, I'm not sure if it affects your year and, if I can cover the few new topics though!
I'll also be doing an internship with the Pro Bono Society Office from 7th to 18th March. It's a 9-6 job, so I should be free outside of that time. After that, I'm probably going to work but I should still be free at the stated times.
