I have always had a strong interest in Mathematics and Sciences, frequently topping my class. Back in school, I frequently guide and tutor my friends and classmates in their work. I was in the Peer Mentoring programme for all subjects in JC 2, aimed for me to tutor and mentor my classmates that were not doing as well. Most notably, all of them got their Distinctions for both Physics and Mathematics. 

I have been tutoring students in Physics and Mathematics for 2 years, and they have always been receiving great improvements in their results within the shortest period of time. I believe i can do the same for you.

I have been giving tuition for almost a year now, to students in secondary school and junior college. They have seen marked improvements in their results and understanding of the subject since I taught them. Perhaps one of my tutee's experience would be relevant here: she struggled with understanding fundamental concepts in H2 Chemistry. After I explained them to her using novel means (e.g. through analogies), she gained a better grasp of the subject and improved 3 grades in her Promotional Exams.

My educational background: I am currently an undergraduate at the NUS Faculty of Law. I graduated 5th in cohort from Raffles Institution (Junior College) in 2015, scoring As in all my H1 (GP, Chinese, PW) and H2 (Bio, Chem, Math, Econs) subjects, as well as a Distinction in H3 Economics. I also aced my O Levels with A1s in English, Social Studies + Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Elementary Mathematics and Additional Mathematics. I did well because I developed a way to studying smart and formulised fool-proof answering techniques, and I look forward to sharing the secrets of my success with students and see them thrive in their studies.

As a tutor, I am able to teach students how best to answer different types of questions, provide topic summaries, explain academic content as well as give revision courses that allows students to understand everything needed for any particular topic. I am flexible and will do my best to cater to each student's specific need. I am patient and encouraging, and derive great joy in seeing my students clarify their misconceptions, understand concepts and do well in their examinations.  

I am currently a Y2 medical student at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine In NUS.  I have tutored P3, P4, P5 Mathematics, Science and English, as well as Sec 4 Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. I have consistently attained good grades throughout Secondary School and Junior College and am confident that I can impart my knowledge and examination skills to all my students. I hope that the accolades and awards I have attained in the past 6 years bear testament to my capabilities. I have topped my cohort for a number of subjects: In Nanyang Girls' High School, I was: 1. Top in Biology in Sec 3 2. Top in Chemistry in Sec 3 3. Top in A Math (IM2) in Sec 3 4. Top in Mathematics and Science (Combined Scores) in Sec 1 and 3 5. Top in Combined Humanities in Sec 2     In  Hwa Chong Institution (JC), I topped the chort in Biology in JC1.     Other awards I have attained include: 1. DSTA JC Scholarship 2. A*STAR Science Awards   I am confident that I will be able to teach my students more than just how to attain good grades, but also how to succeed in interviews and strengthen their portfolios.

To begin off, My name is Govind and I'm a medical student at NUS doing fourth year. I love to have a good work life balance with studying hard and playing hard at the same time. I also love to teach my medical juniors at times when they have problems or doubts as means off inculcating knowledge to the next generation because I always feel we are all in this career together as colleagues. I have had 2 years of teaching experience in the past, teaching a total of 4 students. They were mostly Upper Primary and Lower Secondary. for the Upper Primary students, I have taught English, Mathematics, Science and Tamil. These students particularly had problems in the grasping the concepts in mathematics and sciences.Hence, my teaching method for these children is first enabling them to recognise patterns and concepts, followed by drilling of those concepts via various means such as practice and recollection. In the end these students, moved up from scores from a Grade of B to A and one even A* in Mathemeatics and Science in PSLE.  As for the Lower Scedondary school children, in my experience face a gamut of problems transitioning from primary to secondary school namely in the increasing number of subjects they have to take and the large amount of concept they have to understand. I taught these children, combined sciences, Mathematics and English Language. Hence, I succeeded in helping these student to compartmentalise their brain and activate different areas for each subject and also help them understand the grasp of advanced concepts. I helped 1 student upgrade from a C6 to A2 and another student from B4 to an A1. Accolades on my side include holder of the President Book Award, relief tutoring at Kovan tuition centre and also holder of NUS Tanoto Scholarship for Medicine.
